Otherwise, i seem to recall a post recently where somebody else had
trouble with zip files and the native windows unzipper.  If that's the
case, use another unzip utility (pkzip, winzip, 7zip).

This sounds like interference from other wireless sources.  You could
try netstumbler to verify.
