I am looking to install slimserver on in a web hosted solution at 1and1.com see link:
http://tinyurl.com/kc6ku The question I have is whether this can be done and if I should select the MS or Unix hosted solution from 1and1? Any advice? My thought was to load my music and try and install slimserver to the host for my domain name, then run slimserver from there and access it through a fixed ip address they would give me. What access privilages do I need and scripts availability, etc at the host do I need to install, run and admin there?
