I have a Linksys WRT54G v. 5 router in my upstairs den connected to two SB3's - one in the upstairs bedroom about 15 feet from the router, and the other in the downstairs family room maybe 25 or 30 feet from the router. The signal strength downstairs is routinely 80% to 85%. The signal strength upstairs varies between 10% and 70%, averaging about 40%. Why the disparity, especially when the weaker signal is associated with a deviced that is significantly closer to the router?
