Yes, though I was thinking (a dangerous thing) that the install process may have burped in one of those Special Windows Ways, blocking port 9000 but not blocking 3483. I think 9000 is where firmware comes from on the server. (For some reason I don't see that in the docs, and it's almost time to go home, so I'm not motivated :P)
Ie, the client can talk to the server on 3483, can be told there is a new firmware version, but can't get it. Since a new executable was dropped in place, many firewall packages will notice that and deny network access to it. Insufficient information on the problem, though. "It doesn't work" isn't much at all to go on. -- snarlydwarf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23389 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
