Periodically folks post on this list questions about startup and stopping of their slimserver systems. I have mine in my basement and never look at it, never touch it, and rarely think about it.
I do occasionally upgrade the SlimServer software, whether it needs it or not. Currently, I'm approaching a year. (beatles)/home/pfarrell> uptime 21:07:49 up 318 days, 8:19, 2 users, load average: 0.09, 0.12, 0.09 I expect that at least a few others exceed my uptime. It just works.
