I've added an upgrade script (svn 7321) that will run on startup and set the new screensaverDateFormat and screensaverTimeFormat to the users' current pref for timeFormat and longdateFormat. This presets the new pref so that the user will not see any change unless s/he specifically decides to do so. This will only work for those who have not yet run into this problem. -k
