We called them interconnects because that's how D H Labs describe them and it's what the packaging says. If you want more information please check out http://www.silversonic.com/docs/products/
As for the US English vs UK English thing . . I'm sort of dubious that 'interconnect' appears in the OED (I know you're going to prove me wrong) . . so I doubt I can claim it as any more a part of the Queen's English than as a part of the US variant. I guess it all boils down to how much audiophile pretensions you have . . and we have a butt load here at SDI ;-) On the 100off2 offer, it's frankly gone for the foreseeable future. The problem is that it was costing us too much . . . building and testing the product here in sunny Mountain View is relatively costly compared to how some companies work. We are also growing in order to offer new features and services in with the product (and to existing customers). The long and the short of this is that we have to sell Squeezebox for $300 but we'll do our best to keep increasing the value of every Squeezebox we sell without increasing the cost any further. Sorry for the rambling answer but I think this attitude is one of the key reasons I joined SDI and why I believe we will support our customers better over the years. As for the Grateful Dead T-shirts, they are the first of a series of 'classic concert' T-shirts we plan to issue in conjunction with themed RadioIO stations. In fact the Grateful Dead station is live now but we're planning to officially launch it June 1st. Keep an eye open for other shirts and stations celebrating some of the greatest gigs of all time.
