The sort order is from newest to oldest and cannot be changed, but you
CAN display the Artist alongside album names with newer versions of
slimserver (not sure when this feature first appeared): Server Settings
-> Formatting -> Show Artist with Albums [Enabled]
Note that this setting only affects the web console, not the Squeezebox's display.
