Hi, Just wanted to add my idea into the mix. What about a Slug (Linksys NSLU2UK) that has been unslung connected to a IDE hard disk via a (ICE BOX) to convert it to USB?
I think this solution would cost around £100 - £150 and wouldnt physically take that much space up also. However the scanning of large music collections might be slow but the rest of slim server should be ok.
