Just an idea: why not get a Sonic T-amp and some decent speakers? The T-amp will run you about $45 (including a power supply) and is tiny. Then you can use whatever speakers you want. I have a SB3 hooked to a T-amp powering some Onix XLS speakers ($200) and it looks and sounds great!
