Hi Gerry,

In some threads in some other forums, notably this thread
http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=pcaudio&n=14276&highlight=AKG+gdg&r=&session=
and this one http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=193683 you
mention that you converted your entire collection to Apple Lossless and
noticed a difference in sound quality. Then this difference ended up
being resolved as just a difference in volume caused by having
soundcheck enabled, as you mention in this post:
http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=pcaudio&n=14379&highlight=soundcheck+gdg&r=&session=
After reading that, I ended up assuming that you had the problem
resolved and probably ended up keeping everything as Apple Lossless.
But according to your post here, you are back to WAV again.

So, with all these conversions that you've done, could it be some mixup
with the file types of some of the songs, such that you're trying the
unsupported operation of fast forwarding through an Apple Lossless
file?
