SS doesn't need much Internet bandwidth - if you're playing files off your own HDD, none at all, and if you're playing Internet radio, around 128 kbps. It does need LAN/WLAN bandwidth. Theoretically, torrent traffic shouldn't interfere. What's likely happening is that your router is choking with the torrent traffic and dropping packets SS is trying to send to the SB over your WLAN.
