Slim Server 6.3.1 does not have this problem. Still have first gen
device.
Has it finished scanning? Are you sure you have 1st gen device (SliMP3) or do you have a Squeezebox? What type of files do you have and what does your network look like.
I actually *do* use two 1st-gen devices and 6.5 is so much better than 6.3.1 for me than any previous release.
