I was running 6.3.1 just fine, but kept getting the nag to upgrade. So I installed 6.5. It wouldn't start. So I uninstalled it, did a full reinstall, rescan - hours here - and now it shuts down all by itself.
What does the eventlog say about the crash? And please give some more information about your system: operating system, upgrade or clean install, additional plugins etc.
