Yes indeed, another good point, but my sales skills are already
stretched here.  I'm not sure if I can sell him on the idea of a new
PC.  ;-)

run under Windows 98SE?


It's probably in the 4 or 5 region, if it's possible at all, bearing in mind that I agree fully with the previous posters. What I'd do in this situation is sell it as a Internet radio device only, and tell him that if he wants to play local music, he should look on the SDI web page and buy the Infrant deal.

Even if Slimserver can be made to run on the machine, it will beat the tar out of Eudora and Netscape, making the poor guy's "I just wanna see my mail" experience much less enjoyable.
