How can I reduce the Slim Server home menu choices in the BROWSE section, particularly when using the "handheld" skin?
This isn't easily possible. You'd have to change template files. Have a look at home.html: the template is looping through a list of menu items given by the server software. All you could do is add some conditions for which a link would not be added... If you know programming, it will be possible. If not, you'll have a hard time.
Just in case you're not demoralised yet :-): use link.key as a filter condition. This should contain the link's text placeholder which could easily be identified (eg. "BROWSE_BY_GENRE").
Problem: every time you update slimserver you'd have to do the changes again. Good luck!
