The other thing I discovered with my Yamaha stereo was that I didn't even need the IR transmitter.. I simply used a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable to plug the SB3 into the "remote in" port on my receiver. This way it's a direct connection, and I don't have to have the IR blaster sitting on the front of the box.
