You're obviously not in the UK.

The Nait should be grounded through the mains lead - the ground is
connected to the metal chassis and provides a safety earth in the event
of an internal fault making the metalwork live.  Maybe if you're on 110V
this isn't considered necessary ...

If you can, I would experiment by making an earth connection between
the 0V pins on one of the Nait's input DINs, and mains earth.  That
references the signal earth to mains earth for the system, and is the
way Naim systems are generally wired (the connection is made inside a
Naim CDP).
