Sorry for being confusing. I can assure you that the initial scan of
the music folder was completely finished. (With 800+ albums, I have
learned to recognize the initial scan of the music folder.) 

I must admit that I do wonder what mysqld is actually doing since   I
have gone months without adding anything in the music folder.
