If I understand correctly (always doubtful) the only benefit of the mp3tunes service is it allows you to listen to your music (in compressed format) if your home music server is inaccessible (via the Internet or locally). Another benefit for lossless users is offsite backup I guess.
Both are great benefits, and I say this as a computer nerd who's been running a Linux server full time since 1993... ;)
I'm just afraid transferring a 100GB over a 1Mbit uplink will take rather long.
