Yeah, but. Being Green is not about being cost effective. The most cost effective way to generate power is to use coal, but you can't even say that anymore. ;-) And the actual most greenhouse friendly way to generate power is nuke, but very few greens will admit to that either. I don't see the issue in the first place. No one would use a kilowatt powered gaming rig for a SlimServer, the old mellow things work fine.
