My server PC has died so i'm thinking of taking a different approach - a mac mini in the kitchen (with EyeTV) as a media hub and an NAS to give me properly resilient storage.
Any recommendations or advice? I've not owned or used a mac regularly for many years. Also, which NAS should I look at and how easy is it to install slimserver on one? Any disadvantages - slower? harder to upgrade? (my linux knowledge is minimimal - i suspect i'd have to follow a detailed "script" to get it installed.
