slimfx is written in Flex, which relies on ActionScript 3, which is only supported by player version 9 and above. AFAIK, player 9 is also the first version of Flash which included the socket capabilities slimfx is using for communicating with the CLI. I'm sure that there will eventually be versions of the Flash player that support AS3 on mobile devices, but they're not here yet.
