Thanks for the responses. I'm on a steep learning curve at present so much appreciated.
I looked at the properties of both downloaded Linn files and (in-line with what you said) the one that plays fine has a Sample Rate of 44.1khz. The problem one was 96khz. Is it better to downsample to 48khz then, rather than 44.1khz?
