I had trouble connecting my squeezebox to squeezenetwork a day or two ago.
There was a menu option then to view Current Settings > Firmware. The firmware was 81 or something like that. Then I press the right arrow and saw a funny message like this: "Mommy's got a squeezebox. Daddy can't sleep all night." What's up with that? I joke from the Slim Devices developers?
