THe best channels to start with will be 1, 6 or 11 because they have the least amount of overlap to any other channel. Try going to '11' and see what happens... or down to '6'. I have two separte networks in my house, one at 11 and the other at 6 both with different SSIDs doing different things. No interference or problems at all.
