AlienBBC needs a version of mplayer appropriate to the OS. mplayer is only bundled with the AlienBBC Windows installer. For Linux and OSX, the AlienBBC tar file does not include mplayer.
On Linux systems AlienBBC also needs /dev/fd devices (file descriptor device not floppy disk) support.
