On occasion I've brought out a laptop during a party and connected it to
Slimserver so that people can browse and add songs to the playlist. It's
always popular and a good way to show the capabilities off a bit.

The issue is that it is easy for people to accidentally (or
intentionally) make changes to the settings, or wipe out an entire
playlist while qeueing up their own selection.

Is there any kind of locked down mode, settings or perhaps a simple
skin that would disallow that?

I seem to remember that Moose might be good for this kind of thing, but
have never used it.
