Looking for advice...
SS is currently hosted on an old laptop which is showing signs of
imminent failure. So I need to do something else. My
criteria/issues:

(1) Music currently resides on a NAS, and the music will stay there, at
least for backup purposes. My only point is that the new host for SS
does not have to have great storage capability (although I have no
particular objection if it does)

(2) I am uninterested in hosting SS on that NAS or any other NAS, and I
don't mind keeping the new host on 24/7.

(3) Noise doesn't matter. The host machine and NAS reside safely in my
basement away from listening and living areas.

(4) Cost matters. I really want the minimal system capable of hosting
SS (or SC) well. The host will be hardwired into a G wireless network.
Form factor matters a little. The smaller/more unobtrusive the better.

(5) My basic thought is some cheap PC box with no monitor that I can
use some other computer in the house to administer remotely. SS is
pretty much the only thing that will run on it. But I'm open to other
suggestions.

(6) I was inspired today by David Pogue's article in the New York Times
about the new XO laptop
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/04/technology/circuits/04pogue.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
. Too weak to effectively run SS?
