I recently started another thread on this subject (which i now can't find on these boards), but have completely given up and want to clear my SqueezeBox and start brand-new install.
After weeks of shutting down on its own and not reconnecting quickly, and after trying several fixes, SB now connects to network and gets IP address within seconds, but it simply can't open up SlimServer. SlimServer is running; my iMac is running; wireless signal is strong; network is strong; no interference from other networks are intruding. I've gone through list of tasks recommended by others on this board (moved router and antenna closer to SB; checked SB card; checked nearby networks for interference). I've done everything to isolate the problem, but now I simply can't get SB to open SlimServer and have run out of options. From everything I can see, this is not a network problem; SqueezeNetwork, for instance, connects immediately and runs uninterrupted for hours. SB shows strong 70%+ constant wireless signal. Hard wiring SB is not an option. My configuration: SlimSever (OS X 10.5) ---> Wired ---> Router ---> Wireless ---> SqueezeBox Can someone point me to URL or guide how to clear SB and start brand new install? I set up my SB over 2 years ago and can't find install guide. Thanks in advance.
