Sounds like Windows has automatically applied a lower metric to the wired port so by default will push all traffic down to the SB. (NB YOu can enable wireless bridge mode on the SB and it'll send packets onwards over it's wi-fi link)
Open a Command Prompt and type "route print" and post the results here to confirm. Or you could try opening the properties of the Wi-Fi network connection, select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)", click properties, then click Advanced. In the Default Gateways section, add a new entry with the Default Gateway being the IP Address of your main router and give it a Metric value of 10. OK out of everything. Open a Command Prompt and type "route print". You should see entries with a Destination and Mask of 0.0.0.0. The Interface of your wi-fi connection should now have a lower metric than the interface of the wired link so Windows will prefer to push general traffic to the wi-fi interface. -- amcluesent ------------------------------------------------------------------------ amcluesent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41570 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
