It happens on SlimServer launch, then goes away.  Then it seems come
back, for hours and hours.  Last time I killed the SS, perl had
~18hours in CPU.

I have it set to slurp both my iTunes library and a second folder; the
second folder has a few dozen FLAC files.  Could that have something to
do with it?
