Usually the two main reasons for this are: 1. Other networks in your area are using the same channel and causing confilcts. TO check this you can run Netstumbler on one of the machines with a wi-fi card. If that is the case try changing the channel of your network (or get you neighbours to do it :-) )
2. The IP address changes (which is normal but the squeezebox has problem recovering from that). Try assigning a fixed IP if you can Both situations should be ahndle gracefully by the squeezebox but it doesn't. As you can read at this bug: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5116 Slimedevice claims that they fixed the problem in SC7. If that is not the case you still have the problem the you should just reopen the bug. A very large number of users have the same problem. There are at least 2 posts every week about this.
