I had read the CNET review
(http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-media-receivers/logitech-squeezebox-duet/4505-6739_7-32815168.html),
which states:
"Logitech recommends not exceeding six to eight Squeezebox nodes
(Controllers and Receivers total), after which the bandwidth
constraints are likely to overwhelm most home networks."

I assumed this was due to the limitation of a single Squeezecenter
server managing that many nodes, versus a solely wifi limitation. I'm
sure YMMV due to server size, network traffic, etc. Perhaps someone
from Logitech Engineering can comment.
