The new code should be able to retrieve them from a remote server meaning a another computer then where ACC is executed from. I have a version available actually retrieving the artwork from SqueezeCenter. This would also solve Johari62 problem but...(there always seems to be a but) the artwork is retrieved through a SqueezeCenter URL resulting in very sssslloooww performance (something like three album covers a second). For the larger collections I think it is totally unuseable. I can post the code though if you like. It does solve a lot (if not all) album art problems.
