Yeah there was a bug on this, and it was resolved as being invalid - which is of little help to those, myself included, who suffer from it! I got round it by using the other plug-in, SqueezeScrobbler I think it is.
(AFAIK it's a 7.1 bug in that the install isn't working properly, not an actual bug in the code.
