Well, I may not be stating this correctly. I don't want to recover it so much, as to rebuild it. I have the files for each month, but not the mbox file itself. The mailing list needed rescuing, and the person who retrieved those files didn't understand that the mbox file contained all that. Is it possible that mailman can recreate this file?
If not, I suppose I'll go poking around the guts of it (not very pretty code, IMHO) and see if I can figure a way to do it, but I'm hoping that someone knows mailman magic and can suggest methods to do this. -- Remember, if it's in the news, don't worry about it.
