Every now and again, I have this spurious thought of "quit my job late one fall, go down to Florida or Arizona for six weeks, go to Umpire School, and start schlepping my ass around the minor leagues as a minor league umpire". I'd just have to convince my wife to live on 20K/year for the first decade or so, minimum, and probably a lot longer.
