When I left Yahoo!, almost a year ago, they were standardizing on LVS.
They use the direct return route method for most of their apps. Their
main reason to switch was cost. Though, they have a direct line to Red
Hat for kernel support.
Here at Websense, we use LVS for all of our SaaS products.
