I suspect in my case it is going to the NOAA regional office, which for us is Chicago, but they also issue reports for Kankakee, Poniac and Watseeka. Even though we are physically as close to Lincon which is the zone south of us, and our weather here it tipically closer to their's down there, but being Illinois, there's no guarantee anyway except that it will change in 15 minutes.

No weather 1000 miles away wouldn't be good at all especially since that's probably to your east, which means they are getting what you got days before. Nothing like looking back into the past huh?

What's interesting though, is that my wife was using some weather download thing back when we were using Panther and I think before, and it would give the weather and temps for where we live, but I'm not sure what service it ws using. I also don't remember if she was having it delivered on her desktop or as part of her yahoo when she would go online. I am just remembering this as I'm typing, and will ask her about it when she gets home from work. So there may be a temporary solution that we can do till we figure what's going on with the widgits.

Is that your closest city for which you can get weather, or was this a misconfiguration on someone's part? My getting the weather for Portland, Maine is … well … several thousand miles off.
