I don't recall where it came from originally, but I think it was on
Apple's site. If you go to apple, and do a search for widget tv,
it should turn up. There's a widget.apple.com or something of the
like where these kinds of things are listed, but I don't have the
exact url, so don't quote me on that url.

Sorry, there was really about 3 topics mix
ed in there.
First, I was saying the weather widget didn't work for me. I've
tried several variations on what you sent, but I can't get the
widget to show me Newark De. I did however, get it to work in
safari by going to the proper url (left out in case it's not
supposed to be mentioned) That works, and I'm thinking, an apple
script that sends safari to the proper url, then strips the info
out of the page would work just as well, and not have the problem
of zip codes changing/being wrong.
But, I was also asking about yanking the widget code out of the
plist file, and making it a stand-alone app (the apple script
would accomplish the same thing though, so this isn't strictly
necessary)
And, the last thing was a completely unrelated widget called
widget tv. It gets channels off the web (don't know where,
haven't tried to find out) but in the widget, every link shows up
as simply "link image" in vo, and I was wondering if you knew of
any tricks off the top of your head to fix this, by giving those
links labels of some sort.
But, for now I'll stick to the weather widget, and/or an apple
script/C version that does the same thing.

I couldn't get this to work for me.
It used to give me Atlanta weather, but now it gives me
Cupertino weather. Atlanta is a *whole lot* closer. :) I'm in
Delaware. Will try again.
Anyway you know of to copy the code in the plist viewer when it
shows the source for the widget? I thought maybe I could just
turn this into a stand-alone program I could toss in my dock.
Easier for me than dashboard. Less keystrokes anyhow. since
dashboard topens to the last app you had running, and for me
that's usually the calculator or widget tv. (which is a pain
to navigate to channels, but it works) Would be nice if I
could label the links though. Any suggestions?
I am not sure what you are asking here? Could you restate?
Thanks,
