After getting anoyed with the inconsistency of softcon dvd player with the arrow keys, I broke down and fixed it. When you're on menus, the arrow keys work as usual, moving between menu selections, and allowing you to select what you want to watch. However, once you're inside a selection, the arrow keys act similar to the Apple dvd player. The left/right arrows will move to previous and next scenes as they do in the apple provided dvd player.
However, the up and down arrows will move between titles on the disc.
That way, if there's multiple selections on the dvd, such as tv episodes, you can move between them much easier now.

I added this feature, because I thought it was silly it could only go one direction through the titles on the disc, and if they were out of order, you were stuck going all the way around to get back to the one you wanted. I've also corrected the about, hide and quite menu options, It now properly reports them as softcon dvd player options, not cocoa dvd player options. *grin* That wasn't an oversight before, it was simply a case of not having access to those things in XTools. I finally found the options in their original files, and changed them using pico in terminal. So, if you experience problems, please let me know, as apple doesn't like things being changed this way, and some errors could have crept in during the process.
As usual, it can be downloaded from
http://homepage.mac.com/windowbridge.
and if you have suggestions/problems/anything else, send feedback about the player to
