Hey, I downloaded that nanocount thing. Really cool!
Hey, I have an interesting way that I count pages with textedit. I
found out that when you set the line spacing to 1.5 lines, one page
= 40 lines. You find out the number of lines from VO when you tell
it to interact with the edit text. when I say 1.5 lines, I go into
the line spacing diologue. There are like 4 or 5 text boxes as you
go down. In the one, second from the top, type in 23.5. Then, go
two fields down from that one, the 4th down, and type 1.5. Leave
everything else as it was. I found this information out by looking
at previous documents that I wrote on my windows box which were set
to 1.5 lines, and a page long. So, we could look more into the
different line counts per line spacing setting, and exchange
information. Thus far, I am only aware of what I just mentioned.
It worked pretty well though. Very accurate. I also happen to
know that when you go into print preview, you can VO keys over to
the right a few times, and it will tell you how many pages there
are, but unless you can see the preview itself, you won't be able
to tell if the figure is refering to, say, 3 full pages, or just
2.5 pages.
