Maybe. Problem is, owning/maintaining two machines is going to be significantly more expensive and less convenient - particularly if you require portability. As you suggest, the dual-boot option is not for everybody but it's pretty clear after a quick google search and the traffic on this list that plenty of folks *do* want and/or need the option.
