Yes, I can do the things you list in VLC.
There will always be something pending; i don't think it's realistic
for us to have expected Apple to basically encourage people not to
buy what's available but wait for what was coming out. And there was
discussion of the Intel switch almost from the time I joined the
list; we may not have known when but we knew it was coming. Sure, I'd
like an intel mac mini--probably eventually I'll get an intel iMac--
but I don't think I should be mad because I got the power pc mac mini.
