Thank you Travis.  I've finally got it to do what you folks have been  
complaining about.  Even with VO not tracking the mouse and the mouse  
not tracking VO I had no difficulties in Mail or Safari with moving  
the mouse to the VO cursor using ctrl+option+cmd+f5.  Now I tried it  
in a List like you mentioned and I more or less had exactly the same  
response as you spoke of.  Sometimes, when I checked the position of  
the mouse, it said it was on the "Outline" but if I pressed VO keys 
+space it would actually open the item I had told it to.  Other times  
it would do nothing.  Very frustrating indeed.  I haven't yet figured  
out why this happens and probably won't figure it out.  I guess  
that's a good reason for me leaving all cursors tracking each other  
as I usually do.
