Richard. When you're in an audio file, the right arrow  moves you forward in 
the file and the left arrow moves you back. If you hold down shift, you will 
highlight a bit of audio. If you zoom out, your right and  left  arrow keys 
will move you  further than if you were zoomed in. Hope that helps.
