Not sure what you mean by are shell accounts still supported.
There are telnet and ssh clients on the mac, so connecting to another
machine is the same as you would using any other os. If you mean ssh/
telnet into the osx box, that's supported too, though not by
default. You need to turn on ssh, and add telnet to the launch
daemon. Otherwise, if you were asking somethng else, you'll need to
be more specific.
