Try moving the VO cursoor until you hear HTML Content and then typing
Ctrl-Opt-a.

I don't know of any way to get VO to read an entire article, but if
you have grouping turned on, it will at least read a paragraph at a
time.
I lock VO-keys when reading an article online so that I only have
to hit either the right arrow or the down arrow to keep the flow
going.
