I do not have skype, nor do I have the desire to try it.  However, if  
it is scriptable, perhaps an apple script could be written to tell it  
to answer the call.  This script could be assigned to a key  
combination using something like spark (if skype doesn't support  
scripts directly) then you could answer the call with a single  
keystroke.
Something to consider, though I have no idea whether it's possible or  
not.
